This highway is connecting the unconnected-yet two major cities in East Java, which are Surabaya and Malang. The highway itself has been constructed up to replica watches Pandaan district, the total length of this project is more than 38.5km. Sections of this toll project are as follows, Section I Pandaan-Purwodadi (15,47 km), Section II Purwodadi-Lawang (8,05 km), Section III Lawang-Singosari (7,10 km), Section IV Singosari-Pakis (4,75 km) and Section V Pakis-Malang (3,11 km). Since the alignment is crossing by the hilly terrain, the bridges, cut and fill works could not be evitable, thus the engineering becomes the critical part of this project.
